What healing plants are in the Bible and how do I enjoy them in my everyday life?

Did you know that the Bible is full of history of all kinds of people and places, including the types of herbs/trees that grew there? The Bible lists many plants, but we will be looking at Cassia, Cedar, Cypress, Frankincense, Hyssop, Myrrh, Myrtle, Rose of Sharon, Saffron, and Sandalwood to start. In the book of Genesis chapter 2 verses 5-7 it says 5."Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, 6. but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7. Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." After God created man He did the next most important thing ~ He planted a garden. We read this in verse 8-9a 8."Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9.The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food."  God planted a garden and then wanted man to take care of it. Verse 15 says it again "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." And later in verse 17 God says "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." How many times does God tells us not to do something that will harm us BUT we do it anyway? Too many times for me I am sad to say. This is before the fall (Adam & Eve eating from the harmful tree) when it must have been lovely to tend the garden. Later in Chapter 3 Adam disobeys God by eating from the one tree that God said not to (because it was harmful and caused "death" of their good long perfect life and their stay in the garden). Tending a garden would never look the same again. I mean, if you had someone you loved very much tend your garden and you told them to eat anything but asked them to not eat from one tree, a harmful tree that would cause a slow death and break your relationship, and they sneak a bite and then lie to you ~ wouldn't you be heartbroken? I know I would. Some plants are good to look at but not to eat. Verses 17-19  "To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you;
    through painful toil you will eat food from it
    all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
    and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
    you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
    since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
    and to dust you will return.”

So as you can see plants are extremely important to God. They are His creation. He has designed and engineered DNA into the plant that carries information for the structure and function of that plant to our bodies to help us heal and live a longer healthier life.Click HERE for a great article that explains more in detail.
